1. Analyze the videos uploaded in terms of Youtube category. Use tag cloud to measure the popularity of the category.

Based on the group's observation, we have found out that the most uploaded video based on categories would be 'People and Blogs' followed by 'Music'.

2. What are the most commonly used tags?(You may also use tag cloud for this purpose)

Analyzing the tags posted in Youtube, they usually use an English word even if they are not from U.S or U.K. Some Brazilians, Germans, Indians, etc would use English to tag their video instead of using their own language like Portuguese or German. There are also numbers, though they may seem strange, we still cannot identify why they use long numbers to tag people. We can only come up to a conclusion that, the numbers represent as a code so that only a few people, specifically friends or family, who can view the video.

3. What's the average length of the video uploaded?

Average length: 2 minutes and 31 seconds

Longest length: 9 minutes and 57 seconds

Shortest length: 9 seconds

4. What's the average age of the video uploader?

Average age: 26 years old

Oldest age: 61 years old

Youngest age: 13 years old

People with the most uploads would be between the ages 20 - 30 years old. The oldest person to upload a video is 61 years old and the youngest would be 13 years old. This is only based on a 3 day time span so other results may vary depending on day and time of upload.

5. Get the statistics of uploads by country

Most uploads: USA

2nd most uploads: UK

Least uploads: Zimbabwe, UAE, Sweden, Spain, Slovenia, Romania, Pakistan, Netherlands, Fiji, Cleavland, Canada, Bangladesh, Argentina. All having 1 upload each

Most of the uploads by Americans based on category is still 'People and Blogs'. Average age of American uploaders is 29 years old, pretty much close to the average age of all uploaders which is 26 years old.

6. Get the statistics uploads by language.

Most language uploaded: English

2nd Most language uploaded: Portuguese

Least language uploaded: Arabic, Bangla, Dutch, Romanian, Russian, Shona, Slovene, Swedish, Urdu. All having 1 upload each.

The languages in the videos are mostly English coming from USA, UK, Canada, Fiji, and Cleavland.

7. Get the count of the videos that were blocked.

No videos were blocked during the experiment. This is because these videos are just recently uploaded videos and Youtube might not have been able to check the video yet whether it is copyrighted or having a sexual content. But so far, the group thinks that all the videos found are relevant and legitimate.

Conclusion

It is already given that English, being the universal language for all countries, will have the most uploads in Youtube. Majority of the age groups that upload the videos are between 20 - 30 years old. We can simply say that most of the young adults are active in uploading videos in Youtube.
